Juvenal Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pat Eggers in the 15th minute of the match. Stig Verlengia came out and tried to block the shot, but Eddie Wittingham slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 84th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clinton Werfel in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juvenal Moreira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Derek Findley got free with Stig Verlengia in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 92nd minute, Eddie Wittingham made a precise shot to the right of Stig Verlengia. Liver Bird's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 97thth minute of the game Clinton Werfel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s Juvenal Moreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
