The score was now 1-0. After 20 played minutes Toronto Marlies FC got a freekick which was hit by Roosevelt Dubose. Anfilogino Amicone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joep Ponk in the 20th minute of play. Anfilogino Amicone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manolo Bartumeu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute of the game Gregorio Urtsin made a throw-in which Gert van den Bergh played forward. Toronto Marlies FC's Anfilogino Amicone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manolo Bartumeu in the 27th minute of play. After 33 played minutes Toronto Marlies FC got a freekick which was hit by John England. Gavino Aguirre could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Georg Hagberg made a huge save. In the 42nd minute Manolo Bartumeu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anfilogino Amicone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Toronto Marlies FC's Gino Goldstein got a free kick in the 44th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gavino Aguirre made a kick off. Ágætis Byrjun's Georg Hagberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavino Aguirre in the 55th minute of play. Georg Hagberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gavino Aguirre's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Gregorio Urtsin made in the 61st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Manolo Bartumeu however managed to control. Ágætis Byrjun's Joep Ponk got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gavino Aguirre blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Georg Hagberg having to make a save. In the 67th minute Gavino Aguirre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Hagberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernst Melis hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute, Gavino Aguirre ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Georg Hagberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Ernst Melis kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Toronto Marlies FC's Fredrick Abrams was substituted for Gavino Aguirre. In the 89th match minute, Ágætis Byrjun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernst Melis to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute of the match Qin Xing Shu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Georg Hagberg skillfully saved the ball. In the 91st match minute, Toronto Marlies FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Hamlin to maneuver through the defense. Fatsali Bedirhan kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Toronto Marlies FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
