Spectators: 209 (Terracing: 157, Seating: 48, VIP seats: 4) In the 6th minute Anders Målare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Štefan Semeno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Galatasaray SK's goalkeeper Latif Al Fakir, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tomáš Požgaj's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Latif Al Fakir read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Latif Al Fakir made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Tomáš Požgaj sent off a good shot on target. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Galatasaray SK's goalkeeper Latif Al Fakir, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Štefan Semeno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anders Målare, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. If Anders Målare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 38 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Mudry came free, but Štefan Semeno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Tomáš Požgaj took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Latif Al Fakir to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Mudry in the 47th minute of play forced AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Štefan Semeno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomáš Požgaj made a kick off. AFK Petržalka's Štefan Semeno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save AFK Petržalka from getting a goal against them. In the 55th minute of the match AFK Petržalka got a corner. Galatasaray SK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Peter Pekarík ran over to the corner to take the kick. AFK Petržalka's Peter Pekarík was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Latif Al Fakir in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. AFK Petržalka's Štefan Semeno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anders Målare in the 59th minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Štefan Semeno had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Artur Mudry. Artur Mudry who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Štefan Semeno when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Latif Al Fakir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomáš Požgaj, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Viktor Seno during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 70 minutes of play, AFK Petržalka's Tomáš Požgaj made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Latif Al Fakir was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 74th minute Tomáš Požgaj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Latif Al Fakir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute AFK Petržalka were awarded a corner. Peter Pekarík went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led AFK Petržalka's Peter Pekarík to fire away a dangerous shot which Latif Al Fakir despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience was convinced that Tomáš Požgaj's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Latif Al Fakir was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. After 81 minutes, Tomáš Požgaj made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Galatasaray SK's Latif Al Fakir tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Galatasaray SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Latif Al Fakir should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Galatasaray SK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for AFK Petržalka.
