Bonifacio Rainerio started the match with the kick off. Denis Paulin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiburcio Jorrin in the 3rd minute. A collision led to Defensores de Lombroso getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Jonathan Raphael hit a great ball. Denis Paulin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bonifacio Rainerio in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Chaco For Ever's goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Ferrer came free, but Manotham Grandessa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Defensores de Lombroso's Denis Paulin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Goiz in the 14th minute of play. Bonifacio Rainerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Chaco For Ever's Denis Paulin threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Santo Arce, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Chaco For Ever getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Nemesio Quintun hit a great ball. In the 20th minute, Uriel Ferrer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Defensores de Lombroso fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Denis Paulin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomás Goiz in the 22nd minute. Chaco For Ever were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Defensores de Lombroso's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Santo Arce took the corner. The corner led Chaco For Ever's Santo Arce to fire away a dangerous shot which Denis Paulin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Manotham Grandessa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uriel Ferrer, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Denis Paulin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Goiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roman Riquelme scored 1-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manotham Grandessa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Luiz Paulo Teles fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chaco For Ever's protests and gave Luiz Paulo Teles a yellow card for diving instead. The audience was convinced that Bonifacio Rainerio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Denis Paulin was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Uriel Ferrer to make the kick off. 50 minutes into the match, Defensores de Lombroso's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Goiz came free, but Denis Paulin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Uriel Ferrer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Manotham Grandessa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Juan Simon fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Defensores de Lombroso's protests and gave Juan Simon a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Lombroso's Juan Simon got a free kick in the 55th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Rainerio in the 67th minute of play forced Defensores de Lombroso's goalkeeper Denis Paulin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 70 minutes Defensores de Lombroso's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Santo Arce who took care of the corner kick. Chaco For Ever's Santo Arce was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Denis Paulin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 76 played minutes Defensores de Lombroso got a freekick which was hit by Godfredo Gau. Defensores de Lombroso made a substitution. Lucio Cordarrol replaced Uriel Ferrer. In the 78th minute, Godfredo Gau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute, Federico Pirro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Chaco For Ever fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Chaco For Ever's Bonifacio Rainerio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luiz Paulo Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Paulin having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Bonifacio Rainerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Paulin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
