Emil Arendarski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Francis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Branislav Velchevski made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Mariano Orlo sent off a good shot on target. In a very dangerous position, a player in C. A. Potrero fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! Emil Arendarski had in the 12thth minute some difficulties stopping Miguel Prosperi's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Emil Arendarski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Francis in the 18th minute of the match. Inocencio Cristos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Arendarski having to interfere. In the 21st minute of the match, Mauro Silvino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Branislav Velchevski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mauro Silvino was slow to take the kick. During this time C. A. Potrero's players had a chance to rest. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting a goal against them. In the 30th minute, Karol Borowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. C. A. Potrero's Emil Arendarski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Francis in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Karol Borowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Branislav Velchevski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The throw-in from Celestino Sidro in the 36th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Bonifacio Suarez. Gabriel Erramun kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. The supporters of C. A. Potrero booed when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Basualdo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karol Borowski got in the 44th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Branislav Velchevski handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After a rather tough play, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Inocencio Cristos got a free kick in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

C. A. Potrero's Emil Arendarski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save C. A. Potrero from getting a goal against them. The corner ended in Mauro Silvino almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski did a great save. In the 67th minute, Elpidio Francis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emil Arendarski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's André Monclús was substituted for Inocencio Cristos. C. A. Potrero made a substitution. Baldomero Abad replaced Mauro Silvino. C. A. Potrero's Wladyslaw Popowicz was substituted for Pastor Montrell. After 83 played minutes, C. A. Potrero's Karol Borowski shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C. A. Potrero reached it. Elpidio Francis hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After having played for 90 minutes, Elpidio Francis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elpidio Francis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Abad in the 97th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Karol Borowski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Branislav Velchevski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
