Wyszyny's Robert Kaczanka proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Wyszyny from getting a goal against them. After 6 played minutes Wyszyny got a freekick which was hit by Karol Skrzypiec. In the 7th minute, Qiu Yang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Legia Warszawa's Zenon Pleban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryszard Mindykowski in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute Wyszyny were awarded a corner. Kajetan Turek went to the cornerflag to take it. Karol Skrzypiec took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zenon Pleban. Zenon Pleban dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Robert Kaczanka made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Leszek Podwojski sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 17 minutes, Ryszard Mindykowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wyszyny's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ryszard Mindykowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the game, Leszek Podwojski lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Robert Kaczanka. In the 21st minute, Radoslaw Rakowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bernard Lemiesz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Kaczanka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartlomiej Buczko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bartlomiej Buczko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Kaczanka made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Leszek Podwojski sent off a good shot on target. 43 minutes into the match, Wyszyny's goalkeeper Robert Kaczanka had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leszek Podwojski. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leszek Podwojski made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartlomiej Buczko in the 53rd minute of play forced Wyszyny's goalkeeper Robert Kaczanka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ryszard Mindykowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Zenon Pleban made a huge save. Stanislaw Basinski hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Legia Warszawa's Zenon Pleban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludomir Serwacki in the 60th minute of play. The corner led to Wyszyny's Radoslaw Rakowski getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Robert Kaczanka came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Legia Warszawa's Karol Tomiczek. But to his dismay, Karol Tomiczek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Ryszard Mindykowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenon Pleban having to interfere. Wyszyny's Robert Kaczanka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartlomiej Buczko in the 70th minute of play. Robert Kaczanka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karol Tomiczek in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karol Tomiczek in the 73rd minute of play forced Wyszyny's goalkeeper Robert Kaczanka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute Leszek Podwojski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Kaczanka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Stanislaw Basinski fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Legia Warszawa's protests and gave Stanislaw Basinski a yellow card for diving instead. Wyszyny made a substitution. Jacek Kocieniewski replaced Kajetan Turek. A collision led to Legia Warszawa getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Stanislaw Basinski hit a great ball. Robert Kaczanka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leszek Podwojski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the match, Wyszyny's goal looked a bit too open when Leszek Podwojski came free, but Robert Kaczanka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute Leszek Podwojski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Kaczanka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, Teofil Kosowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Legia Warszawa's Karol Tomiczek in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wyszyny's goalie prevented a goal. Ryszard Mindykowski struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Zenon Pleban didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wyszyny. Robert Kaczanka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karol Tomiczek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leszek Podwojski in the 94th minute of play forced Wyszyny's goalkeeper Robert Kaczanka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Ryszard Mindykowski could shoot a difficult shot in the 96th minute, which Zenon Pleban however easily saved by the left post. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Legia Warszawa had played much better football throughout.
