It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 7th minute, but Dylon Patten got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving The Handsome Wizards UTD hanging dry this time. A well-hit corner resulted in CJ Townsley heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpected shot in the 20th minute by Ludwig Hanstein got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. CJ Townsley took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastian Titz. Sebastian Titz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Mendy in the 28th minute of play forced The Handsome Wizards UTD's goalkeeper Dylon Patten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jiang Lin Ang hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Frederico Passos in the 42nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sydney FC's Ludwig Hanstein. With a little luck, The Handsome Wizards UTD's Dylon Patten got control of the ball when Emanuel Ogășanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
