Spectators: 196 (Terracing: 148, Seating: 45, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Torrey Molloy started the match with the kick off. 1948 MKS's Ersin Uyguralp shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 10th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Mosche Dubberke but with some difficulty. After 11 minutes of play, Vorwärts Lübeck's Helge Pihlberg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ter Stegen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ter Stegen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Förster in the 14th minute of play. In the 19th minute Rafael Förster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ter Stegen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cicero Weiß kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Ter Stegen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldo Gawletta in the 25th minute of the match. In the 28thth minute of the game Rafael Förster who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 1948 MKS's Ter Stegen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Vorwärts Lübeck's Mosche Dubberke got control of the ball when Torrey Molloy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Torrey Molloy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Mosche Dubberke made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Rosa in the 42nd minute of play forced 1948 MKS's goalkeeper Ter Stegen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torrey Molloy in the 43rd minute of play forced Vorwärts Lübeck's goalkeeper Mosche Dubberke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind 1948 MKS's goalkeeper Ter Stegen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 46th minute of the match Vorwärts Lübeck got a corner. 1948 MKS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rafael Förster ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Vorwärts Lübeck's corner Hortêncio Rosa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ter Stegen quite easily take care of the ball. After 46 minutes, Helge Pihlberg made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. 1948 MKS's Ter Stegen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Helge Pihlberg made the kick off in the second half. Torrey Molloy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 51 minutes into the match, Vorwärts Lübeck's goal looked a bit too open when Torrey Molloy came free, but Mosche Dubberke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, 1948 MKS's Kaine Kirby got a free kick in the 57th minute. After 58 played minutes 1948 MKS got a freekick which was hit by Kaine Kirby. Ter Stegen was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Waldo Gawletta. 62 minutes into the match, 1948 MKS's goal looked a bit too open when Helge Pihlberg came free, but Ter Stegen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 1948 MKS's Rigan Frankson was substituted for Torrey Molloy. In the 73rd minute of the game Shao Ming Jian made a throw-in which Waldo Gawletta played forward. Mosche Dubberke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolan McLian in the 78th minute of the match. With a little luck, 1948 MKS's Ter Stegen got control of the ball when Helge Pihlberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 81 minutes 1948 MKS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Waldo Gawletta who took care of the corner kick. After 81 played minutes 1948 MKS got a freekick which was hit by Aban McBjarton. Vorwärts Lübeck's Mosche Dubberke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigan Frankson in the 85th minute of play. After some careless play in the Vorwärts Lübeck defense, Rigan Frankson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mosche Dubberke. The Vorwärts Lübeck fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mosche Dubberke should have stopped the shot.
