The corner ended in Nurkan Salah almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but JEMBer UTara's Enzo Del Pizzo did a great save. In the 7th minute, Duncan Hansen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rolly Salisbury kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute of the match Nurkan Salah shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enzo Del Pizzo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nils-Erik Askelöf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 15th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelino Ospin got free with Enzo Del Pizzo in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Lionel-Andrés Messi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nils-Erik Askelöf was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. With a little luck, JEMBer UTara's Enzo Del Pizzo got control of the ball when Jackson Millgate tried to sneak it across the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, JEMBer UTara's Lionel-Andrés Messi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nils-Erik Askelöf narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 27 minutes Southern Thrashers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cai Jun Wei who took care of the corner kick. The corner led JEMBer UTara's Ren Dang to fire away a dangerous shot which Nils-Erik Askelöf despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Angelino Ospin notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of JEMBer UTara's Enzo Del Pizzo. Enzo Del Pizzo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Enzo Del Pizzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nurkan Salah in the 40th minute of play. After 44 played minutes Southern Thrashers got a freekick which was hit by Oz Beer. Nils-Erik Askelöf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 45th minute of the match. Nils-Erik Askelöf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lionel-Andrés Messi in the 47th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Southern Thrashers's goal looked a bit too open when Lionel-Andrés Messi came free, but Nils-Erik Askelöf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Cai Inestrosa made the kick off in the second half. In the 51stth minute of the game Lionel-Andrés Messi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Southern Thrashers's Nils-Erik Askelöf was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 52 minutes into the match, JEMBer UTara's goal looked a bit too open when Cai Inestrosa came free, but Enzo Del Pizzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enzo Del Pizzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelino Ospin, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Lionel-Andrés Messi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nils-Erik Askelöf read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lionel-Andrés Messi couldn't finish the play. Enzo Del Pizzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelino Ospin in the 67th minute of the match. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Southern Thrashers's goalkeeper Nils-Erik Askelöf, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, JEMBer UTara's goal looked a bit too open when Cai Inestrosa came free, but Enzo Del Pizzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Lionel-Andrés Messi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Enzo Del Pizzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelino Ospin, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After 90 played minutes JEMBer UTara got a freekick which was hit by Lionel-Andrés Messi. Southern Thrashers's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Lionel-Andrés Messi scored to the left of an out of position Nils-Erik Askelöf, making the score, 1-2. JEMBer UTara made a substitution. Aniol Peña replaced Lionel-Andrés Messi. The JEMBer UTara players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
