The audience was convinced that Marcelino Baumer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rogério Ceni was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. After 17 minutes of play, Marlin FC's Yin Yang made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After 29 played minutes Marlin FC got a freekick which was hit by Giovanni Rana. 31 minutes into the game, Boleslaw Gecionis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marlin FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belgrano LOS PIRATAS the free kick. A collision led to Belgrano LOS PIRATAS getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Lu Kun Liang hit a great ball. After 34 played minutes, Marlin FC's Giovanni Rana shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rogério Ceni came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Marlin FC reached it. Marcelino Baumer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anastasio Janpier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cumhur Günay in the 40th minute. Anastasio Janpier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eulalio Jago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cumhur Günay got free with Anastasio Janpier in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th minute Afonso da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasio Janpier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute of the match Belgrano LOS PIRATAS got a corner. Marlin FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marlin FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Afonso da Cunha scored to the left of an out of position Anastasio Janpier, making the score, 1-1. Marlin FC's Dionisio Panpili was substituted for Marcelino Baumer. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dionisio Panpili to strike the kick off in the second half. Afonso da Cunha took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anastasio Janpier. Anastasio Janpier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 61 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso da Cunha came free, but Anastasio Janpier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
