The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Victor Tróia hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Mathias Ramos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Célio do Valle firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gugu Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Paraíba in the 9th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Cafu Furlan could shoot a difficult shot in the 10th minute, which Célio do Valle however easily saved by the left post. Cafu Furlan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Célio do Valle made a huge save. In the 18th minute, Walmir de Castro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, RECOBA F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Soares came free, but Gugu Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Célio do Valle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Xapetuba Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Flávio Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Mathias Ramos put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Célio do Valle. Jarbas Brito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Célio do Valle made a huge save. Gugu Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Neiva in the 43rd minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mathias Ramos to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, RECOBA F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Soares came free, but Gugu Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd match minute, Xapetuba Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Paraíba to maneuver through the defense. RECOBA F.C.'s Gugu Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Soares in the 56th minute of play. Jacinto Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gugu Tasso having to interfere. Walmir de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. RECOBA F.C. made a substitution. José Vítor de Andrade replaced Rudolf Engström. Célio do Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. RECOBA F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Elias França in the 70th minute. After a rather tough play, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Laerte Ramalho got a free kick in the 71st minute. Elias França lost his temper 74 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in RECOBA F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! Gugu Tasso had in the 76thth minute some difficulties stopping Bernardo Soares's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacinto Paraíba in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gugu Tasso saved RECOBA F.C. from getting behind. Mathias Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, RECOBA F.C.'s Walmir de Castro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Célio do Valle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. RECOBA F.C. had won after a very even match.
