C.'s Murilo Prestes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Régis Leite. Régis Leite yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A hard and well directed shot from Jean Correia led 12 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. SORRISO E. C.'s Carlos Ramos became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-1. In the 15th minute, Alfredão Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Murilo Prestes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Régis Leite made a huge save. 17 minutes into the match, The Best Ones's goalkeeper Régis Leite had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ryszard Iwanowski. Régis Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murilo Prestes in the 25th minute of play. In the 30th minute, SORRISO E. C.'s Murilo Prestes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Régis Leite. Régis Leite yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. In the 33rd minute Vicente Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by SORRISO E. C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luizão Passos was slow to take the kick. During this time The Best Ones's players had a chance to rest. 44 minutes into the game, Murilo Prestes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Régis Leite. Murilo Prestes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. After a rather tough play, SORRISO E. C.'s Válbson Machado got a free kick in the 47th minute. Luizão Passos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 47th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.
52 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Carlos Ramos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Deivid Passos. Carlos Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deivid Passos in the 57th minute of the match. Carlos Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deivid Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of The Best Ones booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryszard Iwanowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Ramos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vicente Quintal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 58 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murilo Prestes in the 61st minute of play forced The Best Ones's goalkeeper Régis Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Ramos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Deivid Passos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-3 in the 62 minute of play. The Best Ones's Deivid Passos got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexandre Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Ramos having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Tande in the 73rd minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Carlos Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute Deivid Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, Deivid Passos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Tande in the 86th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Carlos Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Vicente Quintal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Carlos Ramos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 91st minute, The Best Ones's Deivid Passos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-5. Carlos Ramos made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Vicente Quintal sent off a good shot on target.
