After 2 played minutes Montevideo got a freekick which was hit by Laerte Lucas. A collision led to Pégasus F. C. getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Paulo José Barral hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Montevideo's Christian Barreto seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Christian Barreto the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Montevideo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Christian Barreto had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Ronaldo Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xande Sharkin, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Pégasus F. C.'s Umberto Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Pégasus F. C. from getting a goal against them. Montevideo's Olavo Matorin got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Olavo Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pégasus F. C.'s Umberto Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olavo Matorin in the 23rd minute of play. Bray McJon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Umberto Cunha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernandão Recife's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Umberto Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olavo Matorin in the 29th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goal looked a bit too open when Qiao Ang Le came free, but Ronaldo Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pégasus F. C.'s Umberto Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Pégasus F. C. from getting a goal against them. In the 41st minute Qiao Ang Le shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Lorenzo Leiva fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pégasus F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Leiva to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

C.'s Evaristo Ortiz was substituted for Gilberto Soeiro. Pégasus F. C.'s Alfredão Oliveira was substituted for Qiao Ang Le. After 72 minutes of play, Montevideo's Bray McJon made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Umberto Cunha was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Christian Passos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Umberto Cunha was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Ronaldo Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lu Xing Song in the 83rd minute of the match. Montevideo's Bray McJon quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Evaristo Ortiz, made in the 85th minute of the game. Ronaldo Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Ortiz in the 90th minute of the match.
