Fabiano Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodolfo Gerber's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Pedro Mandrak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR's Rodolfo Gerber slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zé Pedro Mandrak. That made the score 1-0 after 17 minutes of play. Zé Pedro Mandrak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Fabiano Pombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doni Barbosa in the 28th minute of the match. Fabiano Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Fabiano Fontes charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Fabiano Fontes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd minute, Luís Fabiano Fontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodolfo Gerber in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Pedro Mandrak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 36 minutes into the match, λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR's Rodolfo Gerber sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Pedro Mandrak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Limoeiro-PE FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bresal McPhil took the corner. λᴠαηᴛє ғᴄ.ᴿˢ•ᴮR's Bresal McPhil was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zé Pedro Mandrak in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Richard Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game was made by 庄翀竞 with Raphael Macedo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Gino do Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Pombal having to interfere. After some careless play in the Limoeiro-PE FC defense, Abelardo Koehler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Pedro Mandrak. The Limoeiro-PE FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Pedro Mandrak should have stopped the shot.
