Ximenez Cayuso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cido Recife in the 12th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Amílton Cordeiro had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Ricardo Arruda's late challenge caught a Samurai Champions FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Arruda helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th minute of the match Ekzema F.V. got a corner. Samurai Champions FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paul Birkendahl ran over to the corner to take the kick. 37 minutes into the game, Ekzema F.V.'s Timoteo Estevez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Márcio de Brito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After some careless play in the Samurai Champions FC defense, Timoteo Estevez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Márcio de Brito. The Samurai Champions FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Márcio de Brito should have stopped the shot. After the first half Ekzema F.V. were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ekzema F.V.'s Lisandro Piearres was substituted for Timoteo Estevez. The wind increased when Cido Recife made the kick off in the second half. Ximenez Cayuso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cido Recife in the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute Cido Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ximenez Cayuso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lisandro Piearres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Márcio de Brito made a huge save. Samurai Champions FC's Márcio de Brito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Samurai Champions FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lisandro Piearres got free with Márcio de Brito in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ximenez Cayuso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cido Recife went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Samurai Champions FC made a substitution. Franklin do Nascimento replaced Cido Recife. 82 minutes into the match, Ekzema F.V.'s Lisandro Piearres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Márcio de Brito narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 84 minutes into the game, Franklin do Nascimento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Ximenez Cayuso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Faustão Ramalho made in the 89th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Franklin do Nascimento. Ximenez Cayuso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Franklin do Nascimento went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. 93 minutes into the match, Franklin do Nascimento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ximenez Cayuso. Ekzema F.V.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Franklin do Nascimento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. 97 minutes into the match, Franklin do Nascimento notched a goal, 6-2, to the right of Ekzema F.V.'s Ximenez Cayuso. Ximenez Cayuso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Samurai Champions FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
