But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Epifanio Beremundo couldn't finish the play. After 18 minutes Club Sportivo Italiano's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ruperto Quin who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Ruperto Quin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Arturo Ardines quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 19 minutes into the game, Club Sportivo Italiano's Roberto Bonadona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rosendo Eufrasio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 28 minutes into the match, Club Sportivo Italiano's Roberto Bonadona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rosendo Eufrasio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alvise Biancone struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Arturo Ardines didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alvoha FC. Roberto Bonadona's late challenge caught a Alvoha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Epifanio Beremundo made a kick off. Club Sportivo Italiano's Arturo Ardines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fidel Hermelando in the 85th minute of play. Club Sportivo Italiano's Roberto Bonadona got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hilario Rayman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Rosendo Eufrasio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
