In the 21st minute of the match Los Delfines got a corner. SHIZUOKA FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Damian Galsino ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Saverio Regis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dário Pinho quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gualterio Burutzagi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guaberto Lugo in the 31st minute of the match. Dalmacio Etxatxu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dário Pinho having to make a save. If Antonello Roccuzzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Ugutz in the 38th minute of play forced SHIZUOKA FC's goalkeeper Dário Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Antonello Roccuzzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gualterio Burutzagi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Policarpio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Casimiro Ugutz in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dário Pinho saved SHIZUOKA FC from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Casimiro Ugutz made a kick off. Casimiro Ugutz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Pinho having to interfere. Gualterio Burutzagi made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Rogelio Policarpio sent off a good shot on target. Marquinhos Sharkin made in the 56th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Guaberto Lugo. 57 minutes into the match, SHIZUOKA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Casimiro Ugutz came free, but Dário Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SHIZUOKA FC's Dário Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casimiro Ugutz in the 61st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Casimiro Ugutz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dário Pinho was relentless in the 65th minute of the game.
