Esparta FC's Luís Artime got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gustavo Guillelmus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Artime went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xerardo Baltanas in the 24th minute of play forced Esparta FC's goalkeeper Hernan Lorencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hernan Lorencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xerardo Baltanas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustavo Guillelmus had in the 27thth minute some difficulties stopping Efrain Trifol's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. With a little luck, Pueblo's Gustavo Guillelmus got control of the ball when Luís Artime tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gustavo Guillelmus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Artime, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Luís Artime notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Pueblo's Gustavo Guillelmus. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustavo Guillelmus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ruperto Sedeni's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Luís Artime left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esparta FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Tibalt Pedrueza made in the 65th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Xerardo Baltanas. 66 minutes into the match, Luís Artime had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustavo Guillelmus. Pueblo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Artime was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Gustavo Guillelmus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Artime, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After a rather tough play, Pueblo's Candido Franco got a free kick in the 71st minute. Luís Artime took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustavo Guillelmus. Gustavo Guillelmus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. Efrain Trifol made a great header on Esparta FC's corner, it was just that Pueblo's Gustavo Guillelmus managed to reach the ball for a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruperto Sedeni in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustavo Guillelmus saved Pueblo from getting behind. Tibalt Pedrueza made in the 91st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Esparta FC's German Lalla. There was no doubt that Esparta FC were the better team. Esparta FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
