The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes GoldDiam V55 got a freekick which was hit by Ştefan Paveliuc. The audience thought a goal was coming when Augustin Cârstea got free with Andrei Pavel in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eric Apostu hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Şaban Kalgay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Şaban Kalgay struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Andrei Pavel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GoldDiam V55. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliodor Barbosu in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrei Pavel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 18 played minutes GoldDiam V55 got a freekick which was hit by Erhan Değirmenci. Augustin Cârsteas short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Andrei Pavel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ştefan Paveliuc was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 30 minutes into the match. Cheng De Jing had in the 32ndth minute some difficulties stopping Mihai Măliță's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Mihai Măliță scored 0-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cheng De Jing, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliodor Barbosu in the 36th minute of play forced FC Fanaticii's goalkeeper Andrei Pavel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moise Marinescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andrei Pavel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moise Marinescu ran back to his position shaking his head. When GoldDiam V55's Eliodor Barbosu in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Fanaticii's goalie prevented a goal. In the 41st minute, Gigel Biriș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute of the match, Şaban Kalgay tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Andrei Pavel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After the first half FC Fanaticii were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gică Curcă to make the kick off. Andrei Pavel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şaban Kalgay in the 51st minute of play. A collision led to FC Fanaticii getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Avram Prunaru hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the match, FC Fanaticii's goal looked a bit too open when Şaban Kalgay came free, but Andrei Pavel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliodor Barbosu in the 64th minute of play forced FC Fanaticii's goalkeeper Andrei Pavel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Fanaticii's Andrei Pavel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şaban Kalgay in the 68th minute of play. Andrei Pavel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliodor Barbosu in the 72nd minute of play. Eric Apostu hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, FC Fanaticii's Gică Curcă got a free kick in the 74th minute. Eliodor Barbosu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andrei Pavel having to make a save. In the 77th minute Eliodor Barbosu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrei Pavel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to GoldDiam V55 getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. 수 van der Aa hit a great ball. Andrei Pavel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliodor Barbosu in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute Eliodor Barbosu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrei Pavel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliodor Barbosu in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrei Pavel saved FC Fanaticii from getting behind. In the 87thth minute of the game Eliodor Barbosu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Fanaticii's Andrei Pavel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Şaban Kalgay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrei Pavel having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Fanaticii's zone, Eliodor Barbosu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrei Pavel came out of the goal and Eliodor Barbosu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Fanaticii were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over GoldDiam V55's much stronger midfield.
