The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Anders Lundqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ove Salkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ove Salkvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anders Lundqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ove Salkvist ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ove Salkvist in the 5th minute of play forced Golden Lions FC's goalkeeper Anders Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Markus Svensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 14 minutes into the match, BK Gubbhöft's goalkeeper Isaac Jonasson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Markus Svensson. Markus Svensson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Isaac Jonasson made a huge save. BK Gubbhöft's Isaac Jonasson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save BK Gubbhöft from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, BK Gubbhöft's Lorencio Irarrázaval got a free kick in the 24th minute. With a little luck, BK Gubbhöft's Isaac Jonasson got control of the ball when Markus Svensson tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Markus Svensson got free with Isaac Jonasson in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anders Lundqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ove Salkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. With a little luck, BK Gubbhöft's Isaac Jonasson got control of the ball when Markus Svensson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anders Lundqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ove Salkvist in the 38th minute of play. BK Gubbhöft's Isaac Jonasson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save BK Gubbhöft from getting a goal against them. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Markus Svensson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. BK Gubbhöft's Jonas Ahlin was substituted for Ove Salkvist. BK Gubbhöft's Isaac Jonasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Markus Svensson in the 66th minute of play. With an all-out effort, BK Gubbhöft's Anders Lundqvist threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Börge Modig, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Golden Lions FC's Mats Nyström was substituted for İbrahim Efe Topdemir. After 77 played minutes Golden Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Kálmán Balogh. 79 minutes into the match, Golden Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Ahlin came free, but Anders Lundqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Golden Lions FC's Björn Björkqvist got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Ciro Incendio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kajetan Drugi made in the 88th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Lorencio Irarrázaval. 90 minutes into the match, Golden Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Börge Modig came free, but Anders Lundqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. BK Gubbhöft's Isaac Jonasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loco Durazno in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute Jonas Ahlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anders Lundqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anders Lundqvist was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Victor Blue showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 95 minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
