The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jeremy Blomme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Castelain in the 3rd minute of play. Jeremy Blomme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cauan Rosa in the 12th minute of play. Robustiano Clementi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jeremy Blomme firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Castelain got free with Jeremy Blomme in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Robustiano Clementi took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jeremy Blomme. The supporters of ORIZABA F.C. booed when Nacional Potosí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Abeitia didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Kenneth Knutsson from long distance, 22 minutes into the match, got Jeremy Blomme's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Cauan Rosa succeeded in the game's 45th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wyatt Jeffers to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Tomas Abello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richárd Textex saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ORIZABA F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when ORIZABA F.C.'s Manuel Castelain looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 56th minute of the match, Lionel Beets tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Richárd Textex saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 57th minute Nacional Potosí were awarded a corner. Itzaina Abastas went to the cornerflag to take it. Itzaina Abastas made a great header on Nacional Potosí's corner, it was just that ORIZABA F.C.'s Richárd Textex managed to reach the ball for a save. After 64 minutes of play, ORIZABA F.C.'s Cauan Rosa made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
