In the 19th minute, Bengt Hedlund reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cornelio Bermudo. The goal made the score 2-0. After having played for 27 minutes, Kristofer Peck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Deportivo Diagüita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristofer Peck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Diagüita's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Petrigai came free, but Mariano Lepe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cornelio Bermudo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Peake, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victorino Peake scored 3-0 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cornelio Bermudo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Cornelio Bermudo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Hedlund in the 44th minute of play. When Victorino Peake came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Club Deportivo Diagüita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorino Peake couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victorino Peake to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victorino Peake in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cornelio Bermudo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cornelio Bermudo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bengt Hedlund went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. 61 minutes into the game, Jaap van Zijp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Deportivo Diagüita's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ the free kick. In the 61st minute, one of Club Deportivo Diagüita:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Deportivo Diagüita. When the match had been going on for 63 minutes, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Paulo Policarpio got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Mariano Lepe. Cornelio Bermudo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victorino Peake's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Diagüita's Kristofer Peck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cornelio Bermudo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristofer Peck in the 70th minute of play forced Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goalkeeper Cornelio Bermudo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 minutes of play, Club Deportivo Diagüita's Kristofer Peck made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cornelio Bermudo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cornelio Bermudo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes into the game, Club Deportivo Diagüita's Emilio Felipe Ancavil nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cornelio Bermudo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-1. After 97 played minutes Club Deportivo Diagüita got a freekick which was hit by Bengt Hedlund. There was no doubt that Club Deportivo Diagüita were the better team. Club Deportivo Diagüita's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
