The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sikstas Ferdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ömer Demirci in the 4th minute of play. Ruzgar Gibi Geçti's Yiğit Can Sungur managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fiori Britto in the 6 minute of the game. Fiori Britto got a throw-in 13 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ömer Demirci. With a little luck, KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ got control of the ball when Alexander Sørloth tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 22 minutes of play, KOCAELİSPOR's Ömer Demirci made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sikstas Ferdi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Şemsettin Tuyuğ showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Sørloth, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Ruzgar Gibi Geçti's Sikstas Ferdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ömer Demirci in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Alexander Sørloth left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ruzgar Gibi Geçti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 32nd minute, Ali Emir Berksoy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexander Sørloth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Şemsettin Tuyuğ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Corneliu Corocăescu in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by KOCAELİSPOR's Baba Yorgun. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexander Sørloth made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Yiğit Can Sungur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruzgar Gibi Geçti's Sikstas Ferdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ömer Demirci in the 56th minute of play. After 57 played minutes Ruzgar Gibi Geçti got a freekick which was hit by Kaptan Tevfik. A collision led to Ruzgar Gibi Geçti getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Corneliu Corocăescu hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Ruzgar Gibi Geçti's goal looked a bit too open when Ömer Demirci came free, but Sikstas Ferdi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sikstas Ferdi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ömer Demirci in the 60th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, Hami Şahistan threw the ball into play from the sideline. Ruzgar Gibi Geçti's Mariusz Biskupiak quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The supporters of Ruzgar Gibi Geçti booed when KOCAELİSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Delgadillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruzgar Gibi Geçti's Akşemseddin Uysal was substituted for Alexander Sørloth. After a rather tough play, KOCAELİSPOR's Claudio Delgadillo got a free kick in the 75th minute. Şemsettin Tuyuğ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Akşemseddin Uysal in the 78th minute of the match. Akşemseddin Uysal might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Şemsettin Tuyuğ. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Akşemseddin Uysal ran back to his position shaking his head. 83 minutes into the match, KOCAELİSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Akşemseddin Uysal came free, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Akşemseddin Uysal notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of KOCAELİSPOR's Şemsettin Tuyuğ. Şemsettin Tuyuğ was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The KOCAELİSPOR supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing KOCAELİSPOR would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
