The long shot by Boris Kortens in the 13th minute really tested Nico Van Meerbek's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy de Cijser in the 18th minute of play forced Suikerklontjes's goalkeeper Nils Lambert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nils Lambert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Reijniers in the 20th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Suikerklontjes defense, Kirk Powderham kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nils Lambert. The Suikerklontjes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nils Lambert should have stopped the shot. In the 27th minute Robben Kints shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils Lambert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robben Kints in the 30th minute of play forced Suikerklontjes's goalkeeper Nils Lambert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 minutes of play, Brakkies New Bastards's Kirk Powderham made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After a defensive mix-up in Suikerklontjes's zone, Freddy de Cijser stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nils Lambert came out of the goal and Freddy de Cijser tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Jan-Joost Van Linthout got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 55th minute, Brakkies New Bastards's Kirk Powderham ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nils Lambert. Nils Lambert yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Kirk Powderham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Nils Lambert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the game, Ernesto Vergílio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brakkies New Bastards's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Suikerklontjes the free kick. After 61 played minutes Brakkies New Bastards got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Vergílio. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Nils Lambert successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Nico Van Meerbek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bart Van de Velde, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Nico Van Meerbek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rocky Roelandts in the 76th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Suikerklontjes's goal looked a bit too open when Kirk Powderham came free, but Nils Lambert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Suikerklontjes's goal looked a bit too open when Robben Kints came free, but Nils Lambert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Brakkies New Bastards left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Suikerklontjes.
