With an extended leg and a bit of luck Waud De Geyter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Rogério Paiva fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Silver Squad AFC's protests and gave Rogério Paiva a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Silver Squad AFC's Rogério Paiva got a free kick in the 31st minute. Rogério Paiva made in the 73rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Bror Litenboks immediately put the ball in play. A sloppy throw-in by Rogério Paiva in the 93rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Gullegem's Ion Giurgiu. After some careless play in the Silver Squad AFC defense, Barnaba Pilsudski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waud De Geyter. The Silver Squad AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waud De Geyter should have stopped the shot. In the 97th match minute, FC Gullegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierre-Paul Callaerts to maneuver through the defense. FC Gullegem's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
