The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Nildo Melo made a precise shot to the right of Amadeo Rufo. After a rather tough play, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's German Pezzella got a free kick in the 11th minute. Porfirio Harvey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesinha Leme in the 15th minute of play. After 17 minutes Real Ducks Sport Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nelson Quintal who took care of the corner kick. 19 minutes into the match, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Amadeo Rufo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nildo Melo. After some careless play in the Real Ducks Sport Club defense, Edin Džeko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Porfirio Harvey. The Real Ducks Sport Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Porfirio Harvey should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesinha Leme in the 27th minute of play forced Real Ducks Sport Club's goalkeeper Porfirio Harvey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Ducks Sport Club's Guto Sampaio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Amadeo Rufo. That made the score 3-1 after 29 minutes of play. Amadeo Rufo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ahmet Nedim Aynacıoğlu in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, Real Ducks Sport Club's Bebeto Queiroz got a free kick in the 34th minute. The audience was convinced that Guto Sampaio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeo Rufo was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Amadeo Rufo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Nedim Aynacıoğlu in the 42nd minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guto Sampaio made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, João Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ahmet Nedim Aynacıoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 56 played minutes Nova Erechim - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by German Pezzella. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Reynaldo Meira was substituted for Songurbey Şahsuvar. The supporters of Real Ducks Sport Club booed when Nova Erechim - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 80th minute Cesinha Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Porfirio Harvey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Guto Sampaio put it in 6-2 from a short distance just to the right of Amadeo Rufo. After 85 minutes of play, Real Ducks Sport Club's Ahmet Nedim Aynacıoğlu made it 7-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amadeo Rufo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amadeo Rufo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guto Sampaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute Guto Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Rufo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Real Ducks Sport Club walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
