Black Hawks FC's Nilmar Pena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademir Severo in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilmar Vidal in the 16th minute of play forced Benfica do Imirim SC's goalkeeper Cato Cavia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nilmar Pena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 21 minutes, José Maria Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Black Hawks FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Maria Mendes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Nelsinho Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cato Cavia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilmar Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilmar Vidal took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cato Cavia. Cato Cavia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Gilmar Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the game, Bogumil Majorski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Cato Cavia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cato Cavia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar Vidal in the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Black Hawks FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ademir Severo came free, but Nilmar Pena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Gilmar Vidal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Black Hawks FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Wambasther Romário might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cato Cavia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wambasther Romário ran back to his position shaking his head. The Benfica do Imirim SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Black Hawks FC were winning 0-4.

The Black Hawks FC fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when Black Hawks FC's Gilmar Vidal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 57th match minute, Black Hawks FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelsinho Perez to maneuver through the defense. Gilmar Vidal might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cato Cavia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilmar Vidal ran back to his position shaking his head. Cato Cavia made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Gilmar Vidal sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Benfica do Imirim SC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Narciso Santos hit a great ball. If Cyrus Ross had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Black Hawks FC booed when Benfica do Imirim SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo de Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romário de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 81 minutes into the match, Benfica do Imirim SC's goalkeeper Cato Cavia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilmar Vidal. Cato Cavia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilmar Vidal went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. In the 85th minute, Ademir Severo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 86 in the game by Gilmar Vidal from a close distance when the talented Cato Cavia managed to make a qualified save. Benfica do Imirim SC's players were relieved. In the 88th minute, Gilmar Vidal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cato Cavia. The goal made the score 0-7. Cato Cavia was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Wambasther Romário capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wambasther Romário really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. 96 minutes into the match, Black Hawks FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ademir Severo came free, but Nilmar Pena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Black Hawks FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
