Eurico Viana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Shen Yi Yuan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th match minute, Goblins F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorg Pieters to maneuver through the defense. Eleuterio Chabier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorg Pieters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Pimenta having to interfere. When Walmyr Prestes fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goblins F.C.'s protests and gave Walmyr Prestes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th minute, Walmyr Prestes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the game, Jorg Pieters lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Marco Pimenta. In the 19th minute Willian Carioca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Pimenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eleuterio Chabier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Urtsin Azcarate's late challenge caught a Green Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urtsin Azcarate helped the player get up and apologised. Urtsin Azcarate kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the game, Green Academy's Eurico Viana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Shen Yi Yuan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eurico Viana in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shen Yi Yuan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Green Academy's Marco Pimenta got control of the ball when Jorg Pieters tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 32 played minutes Green Academy got a freekick which was hit by Edvaldo Silveira. After 34 played minutes Goblins F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Walmyr Prestes. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Goblins F.C.'s goalkeeper Shen Yi Yuan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Green Academy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edvaldo Silveira in the 40th minute. After taking down the ball on Green Academy's corner Edvaldo Silveira fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Shen Yi Yuan quite easily take care of the ball. Edgar Lind charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgar Lind the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eurico Viana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Goblins F.C.'s Shen Yi Yuan got control of the ball when Eleuterio Chabier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Shen Yi Yuan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eurico Viana in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Goblins F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edvaldo Silveira was slow to take the kick. During this time Green Academy's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Green Academy's corner Edvaldo Silveira fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Shen Yi Yuan quite easily take care of the ball. Green Academy's Marco Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urtsin Azcarate in the 57th minute of play. Goblins F.C.'s Shen Yi Yuan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Goblins F.C. from getting a goal against them. If Eurico Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Green Academy's attentive Amílton de Andrade managed to snatch the ball when Agostinho Saraiva made a throw-in in the 63rd minute of the game. Willian Carioca hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Goblins F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Eurico Viana scored to the left of an out of position Shen Yi Yuan, making the score, 1-2. Green Academy's Gerson Nascimento was substituted for Edvaldo Silveira. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Eleuterio Chabier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Green Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Eleuterio Chabier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shen Yi Yuan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 87 minutes into the match, Goblins F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Eurico Viana came free, but Shen Yi Yuan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eurico Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Shen Yi Yuan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eurico Viana in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Urtsin Azcarate got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Green Academy made a substitution. Thomás Garcia replaced Eurico Viana. In the 95th match minute, Green Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílton de Andrade to maneuver through the defense. The Goblins F.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Green Academy's performance. The match ended with a win for Green Academy.
