The supporters of Fenato futebol clube booed when Planet Caravan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique de Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Aguiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Planet Caravan's Waldir Peres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Planet Caravan from getting a goal against them. A hard shot by Walmyr Madureira from long distance, 13 minutes into the match, got Waldir Peres's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Otávio Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldir Ferraz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Planet Caravan's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Egídio Souza scored to the left of an out of position Waldir Peres, making the score, 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, Planet Caravan's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Saldanha came free, but Waldir Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Fenato futebol clube's Leandro Saldanha in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Planet Caravan's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leandro Saldanha in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waldir Peres saved Planet Caravan from getting behind. 24 minutes into the match, Leandro Saldanha notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Planet Caravan's Waldir Peres. Waldir Peres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Egídio Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Saldanha in the 30th minute of play forced Planet Caravan's goalkeeper Waldir Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Egídio Souza who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Waldir Peres when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Egídio Souza got free with Waldir Peres in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Waldir Ferraz was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Adriano do Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Otávio Massa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Waldir Ferraz's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. In the 59th minute Fernando Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waldir Peres came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Fenato futebol clube's Egídio Souza. But to his dismay, Egídio Souza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Saldanha in the 64th minute of play forced Planet Caravan's goalkeeper Waldir Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Waldir Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Aguiar in the 66th minute of play. Otávio Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique de Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique de Medeiros in the 68th minute of play forced Fenato futebol clube's goalkeeper Otávio Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Waldir Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Planet Caravan's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Aguiar came free, but Waldir Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Planet Caravan getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Vitinho Silva hit a great ball. Leandro Saldanha took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Waldir Peres. Waldir Peres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. 90 minutes into the match, Carlos Fernando Veloso notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Planet Caravan's Waldir Peres. Waldir Peres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Waldir Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Aguiar in the 94th minute of play. A collision led to Planet Caravan getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Enrique de Medeiros hit a great ball.
