Edinho Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Azevedo in the 19th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Fala Sério FC's André Azevedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edinho Paraíba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edinho Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Maverick Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that André Azevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 42 played minutes Fala Sério FC got a freekick which was hit by Benê Aguiar. Edinho Paraíba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of André Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. André Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edinho Paraíba having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
A collision led to Fala Sério FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Jairo Souto hit a great ball. Deivid Goiano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Afonsinho Marques. Fala Sério FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Neves in the 54th minute of play forced Fala Sério FC's goalkeeper Afonsinho Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Maverick Futebol Clube's Fritz Salgado got a free kick in the 57th minute. If Vinícius Haaland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute Wit Chuchro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fala Sério FC made a substitution.
