Nilton Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Amílton Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nilton Guedes in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amílton Bezerra saved Nunes FC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Nilton Guedes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amílton Bezerra was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Luizinho Fantini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Ademir Baptista made a huge save. Pedro Tasso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ademir Baptista came out and tried to block the shot, but Pedro Tasso slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 12th minute. In the 16th minute Pedro Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademir Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ademir Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Tasso in the 17th minute of the match. If Nilton Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th match minute, Nunes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Hamdi Yeten to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute, Mauro Arce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nunes FC's Amílton Bezerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Arce in the 38th minute of play. In the 41st minute Nunes FC were awarded a corner. Manuel Pasqual went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Luís Guilherme Messias managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After a defensive mix-up in Nunes FC's zone, Mauro Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amílton Bezerra came out of the goal and Mauro Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amílton Bezerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mauro Arce made a kick off. Nunes FC's Amílton Bezerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Arce in the 55th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauro Arce in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amílton Bezerra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nunes FC's Amílton Bezerra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Nunes FC from getting a goal against them. After 65 minutes, Mauro Arce made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Nunes FC's Amílton Bezerra tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Matungo Gaúcho's Vito Severo was substituted for Jânio Gaúcho. Mauro Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Mauro Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matungo Gaúcho's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Arce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amílton Bezerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 91 minutes, Mauro Arce made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Nunes FC's Amílton Bezerra tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Matungo Gaúcho supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Matungo Gaúcho would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
