Thanks to some nice moves Eric Târban could shoot a difficult shot in the 13th minute, which Gogo Leguizamón however easily saved by the left post. Gogo Leguizamón made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eric Târban in the 19th minute. RIVER's Marcial Lordi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julio Poncio in the 23rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julio Poncio in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcial Lordi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 26 played minutes Deportivo David Mardel got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Guillelme. 34 minutes into the match, Deportivo David Mardel's goal looked a bit too open when Giovanni Lenhardt came free, but Gogo Leguizamón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gogo Leguizamón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niki Lauda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niki Lauda in the 42nd minute of play forced Deportivo David Mardel's goalkeeper Gogo Leguizamón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo David Mardel's goalkeeper Gogo Leguizamón, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
