The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Grzegorz Krychowiak helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grzegorz Krychowiak to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Gregorio Hotz came free, but Francisco Raymond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Espirillo FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marco Nisio was slow to take the kick. During this time Racing Club's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Racing Club's corner Gabriel Dacio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jorge Iztal quite easily take care of the ball. Racing Club's Francisco Raymond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Baraquiel in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Espirillo FC's Freddy Lamberto got a free kick in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Hotz in the 24th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Francisco Raymond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Raymond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Hotz in the 54th minute of play. Jorge Iztal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Ubarna in the 55th minute of the match. Racing Club's Francisco Raymond proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Racing Club from getting a goal against them.
