Jesus Weterio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Antonio Venceslao made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Dario Anaya sent off a good shot on target. Saturnino Rodas hit a great ball. Pisut Maa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Antonio Venceslao came out and tried to block the shot, but Pisut Maa slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 39th minute. Oğuzer Saye who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Antonio Venceslao when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 43rd minute Pisut Maa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Venceslao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Del Acuerdo's Antonio Venceslao got control of the ball when Oğuzer Saye tried to sneak it across the goal line. Antonio Venceslao made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oğuzer Saye in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Oğuzer Saye sped through Del Acuerdo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Antonio Venceslao. Del Acuerdo's Victorio Calvet was substituted for Jeremias Pepillo. In the 65thth minute of the game Pisut Maa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Del Acuerdo's Antonio Venceslao was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 76th minute Pisut Maa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Venceslao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Fleetwood Town's goal looked a bit too open when Victorio Calvet came free, but Jesus Weterio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fleetwood Town's Pisut Maa got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 90 minutes, Jairo Rubio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Del Acuerdo and the Fleetwood Town players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 91st match minute, Fleetwood Town was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manos Natsis to maneuver through the defense. Del Acuerdo's Antonio Venceslao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Geldof in the 93rd minute of play. Del Acuerdo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
