To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 8 minutes into the match, CACYFA's goal looked a bit too open when Tiburcio Medero came free, but Luis Quirce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Gordioro Futbol Club's goalkeeper Dante Ieltxu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Safet Jovanović. In the 13th minute Adolfo Jorrin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Ieltxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Silvano Lia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luis Quirce was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvano Lia to make the kick off. Dante Ieltxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Czornomaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. CACYFA's Luis Quirce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvano Lia in the 66th minute of play. Arsenio Luzea struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Luis Quirce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gordioro Futbol Club. CACYFA's Romeo Sanduru got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luis Quirce made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvano Lia in the 73rd minute. Dante Ieltxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Jorrin, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute.
