Marco Egoitz came out of the goal and Zacarias Francesco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marco Egoitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Santikurtz in the 30th minute of the match. Zacarias Francesco might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Egoitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zacarias Francesco ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Marco Egoitz managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Characate FC's Zacarias Francesco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Marco Egoitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Afonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Islas FC's Marco Egoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Afonso in the 62nd minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Characate FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benito Eleder came free, but Osvaldo Daunte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Alvaro Lartaun came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Islas FC fans jumped to their feet.
