A collision led to Newells Old Boys getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Enis Behiç Paker hit a great ball. Jerry Stout was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Kenny N'Diaye capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kenny N'Diaye really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Yalçın Erensoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karamoko Bamba, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Jerry Stout made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Kenny N'Diaye sent off a good shot on target. Hulki Zaid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute Hulki Zaid shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerry Stout saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Newells Old Boys's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Enis Behiç Paker in the 30th minute. Newells Old Boys's Yalçın Erensoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karamoko Bamba in the 32nd minute of play. Yalçın Erensoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karamoko Bamba in the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karamoko Bamba in the 35th minute of play forced Newells Old Boys's goalkeeper Yalçın Erensoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enis Behiç Paker charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enis Behiç Paker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Enis Behiç Paker hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Yalçın Erensoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Ingemarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kenny N'Diaye was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Kenny N'Diaye got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Veritas F.C booed when Newells Old Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position.
