Filip Pantiș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ionuț Agusoaei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Balavanis's Ionuț Agusoaei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Pantiș in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of Balavanis booed when Eintracht Cernavoda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Goasdoue didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Grigore Şoiman sped through Eintracht Cernavoda's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ionică Corcoveanu. When Eintracht Cernavoda's Filip Pantiș in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ionuț Agusoaei was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 47th minute, Balavanis's Alf Tanner dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filip Pantiș stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Ionuț Agusoaei successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 54th minute, Federico Flamini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yin Li Ying fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionuț Agusoaei having to interfere. Filip Pantiș blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ionuț Agusoaei having to make a save. Eintracht Cernavoda made a substitution. Mikael Isak replaced Filip Pantiș. After 66 played minutes Eintracht Cernavoda got a freekick which was hit by Costin Teodoreanu. Ionuț Agusoaei stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yin Li Ying's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. With a little luck, Balavanis's Ionuț Agusoaei got control of the ball when Mikael Isak tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mikael Isak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Ionuț Agusoaei made a huge save. Ioan Ortacu kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After 79 played minutes Eintracht Cernavoda got a freekick which was hit by Ioan Ortacu. Mikael Isak might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ionuț Agusoaei. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mikael Isak ran back to his position shaking his head. Yin Li Ying hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The supporters of Eintracht Cernavoda booed when Balavanis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alf Tanner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eintracht Cernavoda were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
