Seraċini Għawdxin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Roncourt the free kick. Raymond Foubert made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Samuel Griffin sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Louison Gaulier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ján Oblak was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. In the 10th minute of the match Roncourt got a corner. Seraċini Għawdxin's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Franck Bodier ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Roncourt's J.P. Kapar getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Ján Oblak came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Roncourt's J.P. Kapar. But to his dismay, J.P. Kapar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Seraċini Għawdxin's Ján Oblak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franck Bodier in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Adam Jansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Foubert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute J.P. Kapar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ján Oblak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by J.P. Kapar in the 31st minute of play forced Seraċini Għawdxin's goalkeeper Ján Oblak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raymond Foubert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuel Griffin in the 37th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Roncourt's Louison Gaulier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ján Oblak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Song Wei Yun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Raymond Foubert made a huge save. Raymond Foubert made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Song Wei Yun sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Song Wei Yun to make the kick off. Raymond Foubert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Song Wei Yun, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Roncourt's Raymond Foubert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Jansson in the 53rd minute of play. A collision led to Roncourt getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Louison Gaulier hit a great ball. Samuel Griffin kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Samuel Griffin hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Roncourt made a substitution. Lv Xiao Zhi replaced Louison Gaulier. J.P. Kapar took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ján Oblak. Ján Oblak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Seraċini Għawdxin's Samuel Griffin got a free kick in the 80th minute. Raymond Foubert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Song Wei Yun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ján Oblak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lv Xiao Zhi in the 84th minute of the match. In the 88th minute Fernando Negro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Foubert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Andrea Pirlo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lv Xiao Zhi in the 94th minute of play forced Seraċini Għawdxin's goalkeeper Ján Oblak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Miguel Caruana fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Seraċini Għawdxin's protests and gave Miguel Caruana a yellow card for diving instead. Miguel Caruana hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Ján Oblak was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Franck Bodier.
