The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Larry Hallam recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rouven Nussli. Larry Hallam showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A.J. 关平 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jelle Knopper in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute Larry Hallam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rouven Nussli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rouven Nussli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Larry Hallam in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marin Lipets in the 19th minute of play forced International Thunders's goalkeeper Rouven Nussli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20thth minute of the game Jelle Knopper who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vivant's A.J. 关平 was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Larry Hallam's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rouven Nussli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Larry Hallam had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rouven Nussli. International Thunders's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Larry Hallam was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. International Thunders's Rouven Nussli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Larry Hallam in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, International Thunders's 冯亦思 got a free kick in the 27th minute. Vivant's Firmin Mendialdura managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by 冯亦思 in the 32 minute of the game. Rouven Nussli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Larry Hallam's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jelle Knopper in the 39th minute of play forced Vivant's goalkeeper A.J. 关平 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Jelle Knopper's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but A.J. 关平 was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Rouven Nussli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Larry Hallam in the 43rd minute of the match. When Marin Lipets came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Vivant fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marin Lipets couldn't finish the play. A.J. 关平 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jelle Knopper, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Larry Hallam was the one to do the kick off. Vivant's attentive Hilário Bento managed to snatch the ball when 冯亦思 made a throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game. Ştefan Iovan made in the 69th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by International Thunders's Yang Wen. A.J. 关平 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jelle Knopper in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute International Thunders were awarded a corner. Julien-Nils Freeh went to the cornerflag to take it. Larry Hallam took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rouven Nussli. Rouven Nussli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 80 minutes into the match, Vivant's Larry Hallam sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rouven Nussli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 82 minutes, Marin Lipets managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vivant's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marin Lipets was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. International Thunders made a substitution. Oskar Vahlberg replaced 冯亦思. In the 85th minute Tibor Bäuschlein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but A.J. 关平 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vivant's A.J. 关平 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Vivant from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute, Marin Lipets got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A.J. 关平 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Percival Costa in the 95th minute. Vivant's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
