Jan Thole made in the 12th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Emanuel Balaci however managed to control. After a rather tough play, FC Rising Stars's Ewout De Brouwer got a free kick in the 13th minute. Rondo's Asdrubal Rodríguez got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gino Mampaerts hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute Jurgen Winters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignace Himschoot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ignace Himschoot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Asdrubal Rodríguez in the 20th minute of play. Rick de Zee hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 30th match minute, FC Rising Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manu Lauwers to maneuver through the defense. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Rondo's Asdrubal Rodríguez in the 32nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Ignace Himschoot was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for FC Rising Stars through an amazing save. Ignace Himschoot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Balaci in the 35th minute of play. After 36 minutes, Johannes De Mare mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Rising Stars and the Rondo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Rising Stars's Johannes De Mare got a free kick in the 36th minute. FC Rising Stars's Ignace Himschoot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asdrubal Rodríguez in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th match minute, FC Rising Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johannes De Mare to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnout Arends in the 41st minute of play forced FC Rising Stars's goalkeeper Ignace Himschoot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Rondo's Asdrubal Rodríguez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. 46 minutes into the game, Jurgen Winters recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ignace Himschoot. Jurgen Winters showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Asdrubal Rodríguez made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, FC Rising Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johannes De Mare to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute, Asdrubal Rodríguez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 54 minutes into the match, Asdrubal Rodríguez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ignace Himschoot. FC Rising Stars's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Asdrubal Rodríguez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Asdrubal Rodríguez put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ignace Himschoot. 61 minutes into the match, Asdrubal Rodríguez notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of FC Rising Stars's Ignace Himschoot. Ignace Himschoot was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ignace Himschoot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Balaci, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Remy Stas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Orestis Lazarou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Asdrubal Rodríguez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ignace Himschoot was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Jan Thole charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan Thole the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd match minute, Rondo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Thole to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Stefan Boegaerts made a precise shot to the right of Orestis Lazarou. Rondo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rondo made a substitution. Dirk-Jan Knuppel replaced Roeland Hoogendorp. Remy Stas kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After 84 minutes of play, Rondo's Asdrubal Rodríguez made it 8-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ignace Himschoot was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Rondo defense, Stefan Boegaerts kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Orestis Lazarou. The Rondo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Orestis Lazarou should have stopped the shot. 91 minutes into the match, Rondo's Jurgen Winters sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ignace Himschoot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rondo were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after FC Rising Stars's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jan Thole took the corner. In the 93rd match minute, FC Rising Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ewout De Brouwer to maneuver through the defense. Rondo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
