Cederik Huts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Imberechts, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Dylan Verhaert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Reinard Van Ghele made a huge save. Cederik Huts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atak Zor in the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Atak Zor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cederik Huts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Royal Antwerp F.C.'s Reinard Van Ghele proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Royal Antwerp F.C. from getting a goal against them. Reinard Van Ghele took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dylan Verhaert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Kickers United fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Kickers United's Dylan Verhaert looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Leon Imberechts's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cederik Huts read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. After 39 minutes Kickers United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Murray Hägert who took care of the corner kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Murray Hägert to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Murray Hägert in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cederik Huts saved Kickers United from getting behind. In the 53rd minute, Dino Maquiano made a precise shot to the right of Reinard Van Ghele. Royal Antwerp F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. 58 minutes into the match, Dino Maquiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reinard Van Ghele. Royal Antwerp F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dino Maquiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0.
