After taking down the ball on RedBull Diósgyőr FC's corner Nándor Szekeres fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Geert Meerdink quite easily take care of the ball. In the 10thth minute of the game Nándor Szekeres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ASC South United's Geert Meerdink was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 11th match minute, ASC South United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricky van Aalderen to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, ASC South United's goal looked a bit too open when Nándor Szekeres came free, but Geert Meerdink reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, RedBull Diósgyőr FC's Attila Mesterházy got control of the ball when Paul Alferink tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 15th minute Jakab Boross shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geert Meerdink saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geert Meerdink took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Kilstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geert Meerdink showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nándor Szekeres in the 21st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paul Alferink got free with Attila Mesterházy in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Christian Kilstedt scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Geert Meerdink, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mirko Stuijvenberg during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, ASC South United's Mirko Stuijvenberg got a free kick in the 30th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Nándor Szekeres notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of ASC South United's Geert Meerdink. ASC South United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Christian Kilstedt scored to the left of an out of position Geert Meerdink, making the score, 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nándor Szekeres in the 55th minute of play forced ASC South United's goalkeeper Geert Meerdink to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute Ricky van Aalderen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attila Mesterházy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Kilstedt got free with Geert Meerdink in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Nándor Szekeres managed to get in a good position for a shot. RedBull Diósgyőr FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nándor Szekeres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geert Meerdink breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nándor Szekeres in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geert Meerdink prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 75 minutes, Nándor Szekeres made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. ASC South United's Geert Meerdink tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Jaap Spijker came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the ASC South United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaap Spijker couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute, Mirko Stuijvenberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jakab Boross had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Kilstedt got free with Geert Meerdink in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
