When Waldo Renteria came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Cascade Park West fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldo Renteria couldn't finish the play. Charlotte FC's Clemente Clemente proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Charlotte FC from getting a goal against them. A sloppy throw-in by Lane Velasco in the 19th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Cascade Park West's Dexter Benton. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Cascade Park West's Clemente Clemente threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Amir Lee, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Wander Suzanne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Dario Wilhelm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Charlotte FC booed when Cascade Park West was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jamar Orlinsky didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cascade Park West's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kaja Jamak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 73rd minute, Wander Suzanne reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dario Wilhelm. The goal made the score 0-3. Through an outstanding action, after 90 minutes, Dario Wilhelm successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cascade Park West's goalkeeper Dario Wilhelm, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 94 minutes into the game, Rashad Richardson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cascade Park West's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Charlotte FC the free kick. After 94 played minutes Cascade Park West got a freekick which was hit by Rashad Richardson. Charlotte FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
