Enrique Enoch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zafer Yalçıner, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. A very nice done corner allowed Juan Schnaidt to score against Cyprian Mitus in Resistencia Tayrona FC's goal. 0-2 after 25 minutes. 29 minutes into the match, union española s.a.'s goalkeeper Enrique Enoch had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zafer Yalçıner. Enrique Enoch was a little too slow when Ingmar Kracke got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 35th minute, Juan Schnaidt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cyprian Mitus was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Cyprian Mitus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stig Malmgren's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute Stig Malmgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cyprian Mitus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cyprian Mitus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig Malmgren in the 43rd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, union española s.a.'s goal looked a bit too open when Zafer Yalçıner came free, but Enrique Enoch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Resistencia Tayrona FC defense, Yerko Descalzo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cyprian Mitus. The Resistencia Tayrona FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cyprian Mitus should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The crowd rose to their feet as union española s.a.'s Stig Malmgren slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cyprian Mitus. That made the score 1-5 after 52 minutes of play. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Yerko Descalzo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Bermudo Uranga hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Aristeo Potts hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, union española s.a.'s goal looked a bit too open when Zafer Yalçıner came free, but Enrique Enoch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig Malmgren in the 72nd minute of play forced Resistencia Tayrona FC's goalkeeper Cyprian Mitus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the game, Stig Malmgren lined in a short shot 1-6 behind a frustrated Cyprian Mitus. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zafer Yalçıner in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enrique Enoch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Resistencia Tayrona FC's zone, Yerko Descalzo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cyprian Mitus came out of the goal and Yerko Descalzo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Resistencia Tayrona FC made a substitution. Xusto Lasquibar replaced Maore Tejerina. In the 89thth minute of the game Stig Malmgren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Resistencia Tayrona FC's Cyprian Mitus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cyprian Mitus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig Malmgren in the 90th minute of play. Enrique Enoch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sydney Baiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
