The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emil Bergström hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Hippolyte Calmettes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Johnny Svensson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jens-Erik Andreasson's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hippolyte Calmettes in the 11th minute of play forced SSC Napoli's goalkeeper Sakarias Bocklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilgot Åberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the match, SSC Napoli's goal looked a bit too open when Vilgot Åberg came free, but Sakarias Bocklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Åshöjdens BK's Johnny Svensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Bergström in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute, SSC Napoli's Tommy Gråberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Erik Andreasson in the 26th minute of play forced Åshöjdens BK's goalkeeper Johnny Svensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Åshöjdens BK's goalkeeper Johnny Svensson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Casper Nodeland. 41 minutes into the match, Åshöjdens BK's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Bergström came free, but Johnny Svensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 44 minutes into the game, when Cauã de Medeiros put in a rough tackle. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Åshöjdens BK! When the match had been going on for 46 minutes, SSC Napoli's Walter Lindholm got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Johnny Svensson. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Johnny Svensson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommy Gråberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johnny Svensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casper Nodeland in the 53rd minute of play. Stefan Gulliksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fred Skager fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sakarias Bocklund having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Vilgot Åberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walter Lindholm in the 60th minute of play forced Åshöjdens BK's goalkeeper Johnny Svensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 76 played minutes, Åshöjdens BK's Gert Sandberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sakarias Bocklund came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Åshöjdens BK reached it. 79 minutes into the match, Åshöjdens BK's goal looked a bit too open when Jens-Erik Andreasson came free, but Johnny Svensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Åshöjdens BK's Sakarias Bocklund threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fred Skager, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 90 minutes, Casper Nodeland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SSC Napoli and the Åshöjdens BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SSC Napoli's Casper Nodeland got a free kick in the 91st minute.
