The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Otten. Erland Sagbakken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norman Ackermann in the 8th minute of the match. Cícero Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enzo Semedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After some careless play in the Italia.1.FCKaiserslautern defense, Petruț Măliță kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erland Sagbakken. The Italia.1.FCKaiserslautern fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erland Sagbakken should have stopped the shot. Cícero Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enzo Semedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Nils Neufeld who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Erland Sagbakken when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 32nd minute, Urs Stapf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, SC Otten's Nash Thomas got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute of the match Paulo Tilmann sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cícero Proença skillfully saved the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nils Neufeld was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Norman Ackermann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Italia.1.FCKaiserslautern's Erland Sagbakken was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils Neufeld in the 54th minute of play forced Italia.1.FCKaiserslautern's goalkeeper Erland Sagbakken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erland Sagbakken stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nils Neufeld's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Erland Sagbakken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norman Ackermann in the 57th minute of play.
