The corner led CERVEZA CALIENTE's Bernabe Sauveur to fire away a dangerous shot which Abelardo Janpier despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When CERVEZA CALIENTE's Youri De Poorter in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Horacio Lalla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Todd Gronow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Todd Gronow was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horacio Lalla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Todd Gronow's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horacio Lalla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind CERVEZA CALIENTE's goalkeeper Horacio Lalla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by CERVEZA CALIENTE's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fausto Agüero was slow to take the kick. During this time Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's players had a chance to rest. Horacio Lalla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Todd Gronow's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fausto Agüero during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fausto Agüero hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Horacio Lalla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ildefonso Foro in the 38th minute of the match. Eustacio Gora was extremely unlucky when he, in the 40th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Inaki Mirabal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Lalla having to interfere. Horacio Lalla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Todd Gronow, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Todd Gronow made a kick off. A collision led to CERVEZA CALIENTE getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Bernabe Sauveur hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, CERVEZA CALIENTE's Júlio Alcântara got a free kick in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hipolito Nafarroa got free with Horacio Lalla in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 62 minutes into the match, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goal looked a bit too open when Youri De Poorter came free, but Abelardo Janpier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute of the match CERVEZA CALIENTE got a corner. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bernabe Sauveur ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 66th minute, Todd Gronow got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Melquiades Lastur was substituted for Inaki Mirabal. CERVEZA CALIENTE's Camilo Enaut was substituted for Eustacio Gora. CERVEZA CALIENTE's Cléber Cavalcante was substituted for Moises Mogel. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC made a substitution. Andreas Harlén replaced Zula Turek. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Enaut during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Todd Gronow in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horacio Lalla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Horacio Lalla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Todd Gronow in the 83rd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Horacio Lalla successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 93rd match minute, Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Napoleon Kolbert to maneuver through the defense. Camilo Enaut scored 2-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abelardo Janpier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The CERVEZA CALIENTE fans cheered their team off the field, for while Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
