But to his dismay, Brooks Willison quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Santiago Toli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Boselli, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute of the match Shuspendemo got a corner. SABALEPLUS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lucas Rivas ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Lucas Rivas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Santiago Toli quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Santiago Toli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Réda Kolb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Réda Kolb's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santiago Toli was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Shuspendemo's Lucas Rivas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Edelmiro Tercero in the 41 minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mauro Boselli to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Shuspendemo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
