The crowd rose to their feet as Ediberto Sampaio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tiburcio Ereinotz. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. After a rather tough play, F. C. Solitario's Domenico Marchetti got a free kick in the 17th minute. With his leg Tiburcio Ereinotz managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Merengue FC's Ediberto Sampaio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 24th match minute, Merengue FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albino Dimas to maneuver through the defense. Astor Cesaro, 25 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Bayan Gugovski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernest Legg in the 30th minute of play. Tiburcio Ereinotz made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Aquiles Urtsin sent off a good shot on target. Celso Gaitano kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Bayan Gugovski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Gaitano in the 47th minute of the match. In the 48th minute F. C. Solitario were awarded a corner. Astor Cesaro went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Celso Gaitano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bayan Gugovski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aquiles Urtsin made a kick off. After some careless play in the Merengue FC defense, Thomas Vollmar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bayan Gugovski. The Merengue FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bayan Gugovski should have stopped the shot. In the 55th match minute, F. C. Solitario was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Gaitano to maneuver through the defense. After 56 played minutes, Merengue FC's Albino Dimas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tiburcio Ereinotz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Merengue FC reached it. F. C. Solitario's Tiburcio Ereinotz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamim Mota in the 62nd minute of play. Tiburcio Ereinotz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquiles Urtsin, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ediberto Sampaio in the 67th minute of play forced F. C. Solitario's goalkeeper Tiburcio Ereinotz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celso Gaitano helped the player get up and apologised. 81 minutes into the game, Merengue FC's Ediberto Sampaio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiburcio Ereinotz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquiles Urtsin in the 86th minute of play forced F. C. The Merengue FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while F. C. Solitario had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
